  We are from out of state. I contacted Melissa months before out trip to set up care.I probably bugged her more than she wanted! She coordinated with the Comfort Keepers in our city who did the evaluation. When we arrived in Rancho Mirage the care giver was waiting for us. Turns out we had a catheter issue and the care giver spent about 11 hours with us going from hospital to doctor. She was very, very good. We have had care givers for about three years and she was the best we ever had. She had regular clients and was only with us the one day. The other care givers were similar to what we have a home. We had to orient them to the process and only one was below average the first day. I would highly recommend Comfort Keepers of Palm Desert. They did all the coordination with our LTC insurance so we could be reimbursed for the three weeks we were here. This is the first post I have every done.
